Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic Physicians are licensed by the state of Washington and may act as primary care providers. Naturopathic Medicine is a medical art which uses natural agents to stimulate the body’s own innate powers of healing. Originally developed in Germany in the 1800′s, it is now widely practiced in Europe as well as in the United States. The central philosophy of Naturopathic Medicine is to find and treat the cause of illness; and to empower and respect each patient’s individual journey of healing. Wellness is attained and maintained using a broad range of therapeutic tools ranging from changes in diet, exercise and lifestyle to prescriptions for vitamin and mineral supplements, herbal formulas, homeopathy, or even pharmaceutical preparations. The ultimate goal of naturopathic medicine is to achieve optimal health by the least invasive means possible.
